SAN FRANCISCO — Facebook wants you to wish your friends happy birthday on video.
It's launching a "birthday video cam,"so instead of a series of short text posts, you and your friends could receive a chorus of happy birthday videos.
On Monday, you will see a prompt on friends' profiles when you wish them a happy birthday. The cam allows you to record up to 15 seconds of birthday-themed video.
Facebook is increasingly seizing on the popularity of video on its platform.
