You can now use Apple Pay to pay for gas at the pump at ExxonMobil stations

Making Apple Pay easy to use at a variety of locations all over the world is what makes the mobile payment option compelling to use.
And now ExxonMobil, which has thousands of gas stations all over the United States, is hoping to hit the ease of use nail right on the head, by making it possible for you to stay in your car while you pay for your gas. ExxonMobil, as first reported by CNET is now supporting Apple Pay, but it’s a bit different than simply swiping your phone (or even your Apple Watch) in front of a reader and going from there.

No, to take advantage of the mobile payment option, you’ll need to download the ExxonMobil app. Once you do that, once you get to a station you can open the app, and it’ll use GPS to determine which location you’re at. From there, you’ll select your pump number, and the island will then print out a paper receipt after you’ve pumped your gas.
You’ll be able to keep tabs on your gas purchases at the stations, too.
Technically, Apple Pay is now available at over 6,000 Exxon and Mobil-branded gas stations, which are present in 46 states in the U.S.. According to the report, ExxonMobil has plans to roll out support to an additional 2,000 more sites by the middle of 2016, with full support for all of its 10,000 locations by the end of the year.
You can check out a video demonstration of the whole process through the source link below.
What do you think of the way ExxonMobil has rolled out Apple Pay support?
